Yes!!!!!! The UP TDT results were posted on their website and I passed in Visual Communication!
I just wanted to share with you all my experience during the time.
The Viscom course is usually the course that has the most number of applicants. Knowing that made me nervous because among hundreds of applicants, only 70+ were accepted around this time.
The test was by no means easy, but I was glad that I was able to finish my work on time(in fact, I was one of the last to finish) I think I was standing out a bit because I was the only one who brought an entire crate of art supplies...
They made us copy a live model, which was the first time I've copied an actual person. I found it quite difficult because the model had to take breaks in between.
The other test they made us do was a work using a coloring medium of our choice(except oil). I had complications during this part because I was using watercolor and the paper wasn't really suitable for it. When I looked around, I saw most of the other applicants used colored pencils. Only a few of us used paint. Luckily I brought all of my art supplies, so instead of using just watercolor, I did mixed media instead.
My advice to those who want to take the TDT in UP Fine Arts is to no matter the outcome, don't give up and have confidence in yourself. I can honestly say that I almost gave up on trying to pass because I wasn't liking the outcome of my work. I wouldn't recommend watercolor and practice your speed. Pace yourself properly and don't give up!
